The Sor is lovely. I'm excited by the idea of, as you say, approaching Sor from before rather than after his time. The gut and nailless approach sounds excellent. All in all this reminds me of the first time I heard Mozart on a fortepiano - the same kind of gentle thudding attack with a quick decay, rather than the super bright and super ringing, tinkly modern grand sound.
